今日、とてもショックな知らせがありました。
私が社会人として駆け出しだった頃、
優しく指導してくれた素敵な先輩、Hさんが急逝されたそうなのです。
Hさんは私たちの部署のスーパーバイザーで、
本当にダメダメだった私に優しいアドバイスをくれた人でした。
『Kちゃんはコンピュータが得意だから、その道のライターになったらいいよ。
需要がすごいあるはずだから」
とHさんが助言してくれたおかげで、私は今の仕事を選んだのかもしれない。
Hさんのあの励ましの言葉がなかったら、
私はできる先輩たちに太刀打ちできなくて、挫折して、何にもない子で終わっていたかもしれない。
先輩の中でもHさんが書く文が一番好きだった。
最後に会ったのは、コリアタウンの焼き肉屋さんでばったりと。
多分、もう10年くらい前の話。
あの時のHさんの姿を今もはっきりと覚えてる。
肉体は滅びても、魂はずっと生き続ける。
最後にありがとうを言えなかったのが残念だけれど、
Hさんが私にくれた優しいアドバイスはこれからも私の中で生き続ける。
いろんなこと思いだして、
久々に泣けてきたけど、泣いてお別れはダメダメ。
Hさんみたいに素敵な人だから、人間社会で修行しなくても充分だよね。
今頃、魂の世界で自由にのびのびと過ごしているに違いない。
Hさん、お疲れさまでした。
そして、ありがとう。

ラスベガスには行けなくとも、
オンラインでライブを見られると楽しみにしていたのに。。。。
やっぱり延期になってしまいましたね。
分かってはいましたけど。
そんな、簡単にはいくはずないって。
でも、かなりユニークな試みなので、早く見たいです。
ところで、
案の定、今回のアルバムの売り上げ、伸び悩んでいるようですね。
ちょっと全体的に派手さにかけるものね。
それに、詩もあんまり心に響かないのだよね。
幸せ過ぎると創作意欲ってやっぱり落ちちゃうのかな。

信用と信頼
人を信じるのは簡単。
人を信じる方が幸せ。
だけど、
お人好し過ぎると、
結局は裏切られてばかり。
でも、信じてしまうのかな？
その方が楽だから。
その方が幸せだから。
正直者はバカをみる。
正義感強いのもバカをみる。
だけど、
私は選んでしまうんだよな。
正直者丸出しで、信頼した人を何度も信用してしまう道を。
私みたいなクソまじめ人間はきっと宗教とかハマったらやばいんだろうね。
自分でも怖いから、絶対宗教には近づかないようにしているの。
あ、
正義の味方って見ようによっては、敵からしたら悪なんだよね。
敵は自分たちを正義の味方って思っているかもしれないよね。
そうなると、どっちが正義でどっちが悪かってのは
誰が決めるのだろうね。
まるでアメリカと中東の関係だよね。

本当は正義だったりして。

MOAIA Review
日本では10月３日に発売が延期されてしまいましたが、
アメリカでは予定通り29日に発売になるマライアさんのニューアルバム。
残念ながら、というのでしょうか、
なんと全曲フルバージョンが発売前にリークされてしまいましたΣ(- -ﾉ)ﾉ ｴｪ!?
私は、下のコレクターズエディションをすでに購入済みです。
マライアさんのサイン付きというのに惹かれて。。。。
29日にMP3ダウンロードできるはずなのですが、それも必要なくなったかなと。。。。
普通にダウンロードできてしまいますが、くれぐれも皆さん、購入してくださいね♪
さて、１回通しで全部聴いた感想。
素直に言いますね。
正直
うーん。
グラミーを狙った落ち着いた感じのアルバムに仕上がっていますが、
ちょっと狙い過ぎで、グラミーは難しそうな気がします。
良く言えば、
おとなな感じですね。
全体的にこてこてR&Bで、マライアさんの声には合わない曲が多いです。
間違いなく、
はMary J. Bligeっぽい。
というか、逆にメアリーの癖のある黒人ボイスの方が
絶対良い感じに聞こえるはず。
ファンの間ではかな〜り評判いいのですが、
私の中では？？です。
でもでも、きっと聴けば聴く程味がでて
大好きなアルバムになるはずです。
マライアさんの魅力って結局そこなんですから。
ちなみに、いまのところのお気に入りは、
アレンジが好きではないと文句いっていた

I Want to Know What Love Is
Memoirs of an Imperfect Angelからの２枚目のシングルです。
元はforeignerの曲で、80年代にヒットしたらしいです。
マライアさんがカバーしたら原曲よりもやっぱり良くなっている。。。
が、
この曲、前評判がすごい良かったのですね。
Memoirs of an Imperfect Angelの曲は大半があんまり良い評価ではないですが、
この曲だけは高評価でした。
Obsessedが私の中ではチープな曲イメージがあったため、かなり期待していたのですが、
はっきり言って、
アレンジが80sそのもので、
古くないですか？
90sのマライアさんのアルバムにはいっていそうではないですか？
クラシック・バラードになってしまって、とにかく古い。
せっかくマライアさんの歌声が90sの絶頂期と変わらないくらいまで素晴らしいのに、
アレンジが80sのままでは全然面白くない。
これ、ヨーロッパのラジオ向けバージョンで、
アルバムに入っているものはもっと良くなってたりしないですかね？？
今のアメリカのトレンドからするとヒットは難しい気がします。
おそらくこの方↓をかなり意識したのだろうなと思います。
今日本で大騒ぎしている事件と同じで、
ホイットニーもダメダメ旦那のおかげで道を外しましたよね。
それこそ、結婚前まではヘルシーブラックビューティーの象徴で、
歌もうまくて、未だ憧れのベストシンガーとしてマライアさんより人気がありますものね。
マライアさんがホイットニーのcome backを相当意識しているのは分かりますが、
だからといって、せっかくR&Bで成功しつつあるのに、
昔に戻る必要ない気がするのになぁ。。。。
と、
Obsessed同様、かなり辛口なコメントとなりましたが、
最終的にはマライアさんの曲は全部好きなので、
今回の曲ももちろん大好きです！
